Santo Mezcal is the newest restaurant slated to open this April in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, unveiling the latest concept from Carlos Luna and the talented team behind the Los Agaves Restaurants. Luna was inspired to open an elevated Mexican concept featuring contemporary Mexican cuisine, alongside a sleek bar where a coveted mezcal and tequila collection take center stage.

Leading the culinary side is Executive Chef Ricardo Garcia, who has created a modern menu yet rooted in traditional Mexican flavors and traditions. With a focus on seafood, his cuisine also celebrates local and seasonal ingredients from the Santa Barbara region. Heading up the bar program is locally renowned mixologist, Sean Sepulveda. The design and mood at Santo Mezcal reveal a stylish oasis unlike anywhere else in Santa Barbara, set in the Funk Zone art district.

The Luna family and their team have built a loyal following at their Los Agaves Restaurants. Their newest culinary venture with Santo Mezcal brings an infusion of flavors and spirit from all across Mexico to Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, and delivers a new experience for guests to savor and take in.
